Dear Sir / Madam

Reference: Bodil Veibaek

I write with regard to providing a reference for the above.

Bodil has worked at Squire and Partners for over a year and a half (commencing May 2006), as part of a team of Architects and Illustrators producing high quality buildings both in central London and internationally. During her time here she has worked on a selection of wide ranging projects, gaining experience with architectural design, detailing, technical co-ordination and presentation for both residential and office buildings.

She has been responsible as Project Architect for Wigmore Street, a new build project which included the retention of an Edwardian Façade and new building office and residential building behind facing onto a traditional Mews street. This project was submitted for a detailed planning application recently, and Bodil took sole responsibility for its design evolution and presentation. She has also been involved in a number of conceptual design competitions on behalf of the practice.

Bodil is hard working, punctual and thorough in her work, and has proved a great asset to the practice during her time here. Her computer design and illustration skills are exceptional, and she has risen to any challenge and learning experience that we have set.

Yours sincerely

Matthew Holloway

Recommendation of Bodil Veibaek

Bodil Veibaek has, in her studies at Aarhus School of Architecture, demonstrated a remarkable talent for the architectural profession. She has shown a fantastic ability to familiarize herself with both the conceptual and the spatial/constructive aspects of her projects. She has communicated especially the textural and visual aspects of her projects formidably via delicate graphics and her Frank Lloyd Wright-like sketches, perspective drawings and always elegant renderings.

Bodil always transforms the trivial into the exceptional. Where other people choose graduation projects in Randers or Vejle, Bodil has more air under her wings. Hence her graduation project was a guesthouse in Yokohama, accompanied by extensive research on Japanese culture and architectural history.

We know Bodil as an incredibly energetic, focused and persistent student. At times she has exhibited an almost "donkey-like tenaciousness", which makes her able to control work process, method and not least time schedule to the letter. Bodil works very independently, but in group assignments and workshops she doesn´t lack amenability and attention towards the ideas of others and takes the leadership of the work on her.

Bodil is a strong person. Talented, willful, with a curiosity and interest in fields related to architecture, such as art and scenography, which we are sure will bring her far, both profesionally and geographically.

From department X we give her our best recommendations.

Sincerely Yours

Andriette Ahrenkiel
